Eurovision World Cup: Latvia vs Denmark

For the duration of the actual World Cup, some of the best Eurovision artists old and new will be battling it out in a series of matches that mirror the World Cup itself. By the end, we will know the first winner of our Eurovision World Cup!

On each competition day of the World Cup, all of the matches for that day will be posted here on Eurovision Union. For a full 24 hours, a poll will be open for each match and it will be up to you to pick which of the representative songs will win the match.

It is Day 3 of the World Cup, and today features four huge matches from Group C and D. This match is between Latvia and Denmark, so let’s see the entries!

Today’s Competitors:

It only took three years until Latvia scored their first Eurovision win, and as you will remember it was Marie N who took out the trophy for Latvia with the song I Wanna. Latvia has not yet won again since the 2002 edition of the contest, but at least they have a win on the board! Watch the performance here:

Denmark has a lengthy history at the contest, having first participated in 1957. Since then, they have won the contest no less than three times, in 1963, 2000 and 2013. Since we loved all three winning entries, it was difficult to choose the representative, however we have chosen Emmelie de Forest with Only Teardrops which is the most recent winner from Denmark.
